Justus & Kari's Mountain Engagement Session
This sweet couple first reached out to me about wedding photography after getting engaged in Leavenworth, Washington during Christmas time. I cannot tell you how excited I was when they inquired—I've known Kari for a few years now through mutual friends, and seeing her name pop up in my inbox was such an exciting moment! Over the holidays, in the most perfect twist of timing, I actually ran into the two of them in Leavenworth—literally moments before Justus proposed. Kari had no idea what was about to happen (of course!), and we chatted for a few minutes before saying our goodbyes and exchanging Happy New Year wishes. Not even ten minutes later, our mutual friend (who I was spending the weekend with) got a text with a photo of the two of them—and there was Kari, hand in the air, with her brand new engagement ring! We were all SO excited.
The Moments of This North Bend Engagement Session
One of my favorite parts about being a couples photographer is getting to connect with people and play a small part in their love story. This is just the beginning of Justus and Kari's forever, and I feel so honored to have watched their journey from boyfriend & girlfriend to engaged—and soon to be married!
For their engagement session, we headed to Meadowbrook Farm in North Bend, Washington. It’s one of my favorite locations because of the incredible view of Mount Si. As the sun sets, the mountain lights up with the most stunning yellow and orange tones—it’s seriously magic. And if you’re lucky, elk will wander out at dusk just as we’re wrapping up.
